Can You Fix It? is a successful e-learning game that has been played by more than 100,000 adolescents in the Netherlands over the past year. It aims at preventing sexual transgressive behaviour by making adolescents aware of misunderstandings that occur between boys and girls and lets them experience a way they can communicate about boundaries. The game aims at enlarging their feeling of control and self-efficacy.
E-learning to prevent sexual transgressive behavior
‘Can You Fix It?’ is an e-learning game for teenagers between 13 and 17 years old, developed in 2010 by Rutgers WPF and SOA Aids Nederland as part of the Campaign ‘Speakeasy on sex’. The game contains twelve short movies about online and offline dating, flirting and sex.
Things go wrong in the videos. The characters get upset about something or feel humiliated. The challenge is to fix the situation for them and give the story a happy ending. It is easy to fix the situation; just push the red button. In this trailer you can watch how it works.
