- Article, 24 May 2012 | Following a South African project with the same name, on 21 May 2012 Rutgers WPF and Rifka Annisa launched the 'Toolkit for Men: Male Counselling in the context of partner violence' in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Representatives of the Indonesian government and public organisations attended the event. This toolkit answers to the needs of a growing number of men to be actively involved in stopping violence against women. Read more
- News, 06 August 2012 | Over the last couple of months, in the Stories Behind the Statistics series, the website Impatient Optimists (Bill & Mellinda Gates Foundation) shared with its readers the overwhelming rate of adolescent pregnancy and its devastating effect on the lives of girls. One of the commitments made on July 11, 2012 at the Family Planning Summit was to increase access to contraceptives for young women and girls. Read more
- Article, 10 January 2011 | Sign of Life was a campaign creating awareness and political commitment for the potential of African girls. The focus of this campaign was one of the Millennium Development Goals, No. 5: Reduce maternal mortality and provide universal access to reproductive health for all. - News, 31 January 2012 | The European awareness raising campaign Sign of Life was finalised on 31 December 2012. - On 6 and 7 June 2012 the second series of the Sign of Life College Tour took place. Dozens of enthusiastic students from student unions in Groningen, Amsterdam and Utrecht took part in the College Tour. Medical students from Salus VU (Amsterdam) and the ‘Gamma Work Group’ (Utrecht) were involved, as well as students from the Population Studies Association ‘Ibn Battuta’ in Groningen. Read more
- News, 22 January 2013 | Karachi : Speakers at a conference on 21 January 2013 said about 72 percent of girls in rural areas of Sindh were married before the age of 18 years as the government has failed to pay heed to the social issue, which is one of the major reasons of poverty. The conference was conducted by Rutgers WPF-Pakistan in collaboration with the HANDS titled ‘Enhancing Role of Media in Eradicating Child Marriages in Sindh’ at a local hotel. Read more

- Article, 23 May 2012 | Having your period may seem just an ordinary event. But that is not the case in all countries, in particular in Bangladesh! In order to break the taboo around the menstrual period Rutgers WPF has developed an information leaflet for girls in Bangladesh. In addition Rutgers WPF has set up training courses for local people to help break the taboo. Read more
