- Press release, 31 May 2011 | At the UN, Mrs. Maria da Luz Dai Guebuza, the First Lady of Mozambique pleaded for a better availability of female condoms worldwide. She did so by writing her statement on Zawadi, one of many paper dolls. From all over the world these paper dolls came to New York, with statements from men and women asking for female condoms. Afterwards Zawadi flew to the Netherlands. There she, and many more dolls from around the globe, presented them at the UAFC conference on female condoms in November of this year. Read more
- Press release, 12 January 2011 | Bert Koenders has succeeded Melanie Schultz van Haegen as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Rutgers WPF as of February 2011. On 1 January 2011 Rutgers WPF emerged as a result of the merger between Rutgers Nisso Groep (centre of expertise on sexuality) and World Population Foundation (WPF). Koenders said that this new organisation, Rutgers WPF, will continue an important Dutch tradition: making sexual health and rights a political priority in and outside the Netherlands. Read more

- Press release, 06 June 2011 | Rutgers WPF received the Award for Excellence & Innovation in Sexuality Education 2011 on 12 June 2011. This took place during the opening ceremony of the 20th World Congress of the World Association for Sexual Health (WAS) in Glasgow. Rutgers WPF received the award because of its strong and comprehensive programmes in the area of sexual and relational education and the groundbreaking work it has achieved in supporting organisations in developing countries.
