Rutgers WPF is a renowned centre of expertise on sexual and reproductive health and rights. Its activities are mainly carried out in the Netherlands, Africa, Asia and South America. Its aim is to improve sexual and reproductive health and rights throughout the world. Rutgers WPF supports partner organisations and professionals in their work, increasing their expertise on sexuality.

- 04 June 2013 - 06 June 2013 | Join us on June 4–6, 2013 for an e-forum titled “Size matters: The impact of sexual networks on young people’s sexual and reproductive health.” The forum is hosted by FHI 360, on behalf of USAID’s Interagency Youth Working Group. Moderated by experts from USAID, FHI 360, loveLife, and the University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health, this forum will give participants an opportunity to discuss multiple and concurrent sexual partnerships among young people, the influence of social norms and gender on decisions to be in multiple partnerships, and the associated sexual and reproductive health consequences. We will also address strategies young people can adapt to avoid multiple and concurrent sexual partnerships. Read more

- 30 June 2013 - 03 July 2013 | The world’s largest open scientific conference on HIV/AIDS – the 7th IAS Conference on HIV Pathogenesis, Treatment and Prevention (IAS 2013) will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC ) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 30 June-3 July 2013. The event will be organized by the IAS, in partnership with Centre of Excellence for Research in AIDS (CERiA), University of Malaya, a centre established in 2007 to undertake HIV-related research with a particular focus on HIV and substance use and related co-morbidities including tuberculosis and hepatitis C. Co-hosted by the Government of the Netherlands, UNFPA and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, it will be held in the Netherlands from 7-10 July 2013. The Conference will provide an opportunity to assess the implementation of the ICPD Programme of Action through an examination of the nexus between human rights, equality, equity and population and development, including in the key areas of gender, empowerment, and sexual and reproductive health and rights.
